Has anyone out there ever filed chapter 13 bankruptcy? If you have, how much did it cost, and how much of that actually went to the attorney. I got caught up in an insurance scam and ended up with a $ 125,000 bill that should have only been approximately $ 60,000, most of which my insurance co. should have paid.

It depends on the attorney, but usually around $ 2,500 or so in attorney fees, depending on how complicated it is. Most bankruptcy attorneys have payment plans. IIRC, the filing fee is no more than $ 300.
